Sales of new flat screen LCD and Plasma TV's rocketed in 2009 helped by tumbling prices and consumers desire to replace their old big, heavy and in many cases ugly TV's with a new High Definition TV. These new flat screen TV's are not only larger, lighter and prettier to look at but they, in most cases, have built in digital receivers and equip the customer for the digital switch-over. But the growth in sales has also been underpinned by the desire to seemingly put a TV in every room of the home. Small flat TV's can now easily be placed in the kitchen, the bedroom and even the bathroom so you don 't have to miss a minute of your favourite program wherever you are or whatever you're up to. The much smaller size of the new generation of TV's means they can be fixed to the wall and as such take up no more space than a picture frame. TV brackets or TV wall arms allow new flat screen TV's to be "room friendly" and to be moved and positioned to get the optimum viewing angle. So the big trend in 2009 has not just been the huge growth in flat screen TV's to replace existing large CRT TV's but the multiple purchase of TV's to ensure no room is without one. Allied to this there has been a massive growth in the sale of TV brackets . With the World Cup upon us in 2010 its expected that flat screen sales in 2010 will top those of 2009 as every hot-blooded English football fan upgrades his TV to get maximum viewing pleasure from the event!
