Wall brackets are a fantastic solution for mounting TVs and AV accessories but there are some circumstances where wall mounts aren’t practical or aren’t the best option. For example you might have an awkward shaped room, you might need access to switches and/or meters or even more importantly the wall on which you’d like to mount your TV might be not be strong enough to bare the weight of your television. Understandably you might therefore think that mounting your television is not a viable option for you, but have you considered the use of a ceiling based TV mount? Ceiling mounts for TVs are not just a space saving option; they are particularly robust and are ideal for installation in either the home or in public areas such as bars, shops or salons. Ceiling TV mounts are also the perfect option if you own or are looking to buy a digital projector. This allows you to mount your projector in the middle of a room without having to worry about it getting knocked or damage (assuming you’ve got enough head clearance and you’re not seven feet tall). Ceiling mounts also offer good flexibility in other environments, for example some ceiling mounts are capable of supporting multiple screens. There are also a range of pro-install systems where you can purchase individual components allowing you to custom build your own mounting solution(s). One advantage of this is that you can choose from a wide range of mounting brackets which allow you to mount onto more awkward surfaces such as girders, beams and piping which are common place in old buildings and industrial environments. Plus you can have your columns cut to measure meaning that you can have your screen mounted at any height no matter how specific. So if wall mounting isn’t an option for you, maybe its worth looking into ceiling mounts.
